Labour to cut Police Contact Points - Have your say
The Labour Mayor of London is proposing to make cuts which will affect our local Police service.
The plans set out by Sadiq Khan will mean the closure of the police front counters at Hornsey Police Station and the Fishmonger's Arms on Wood Green High Road, as well as axing the police contact point at Planet Organic in Muswell Hill. This would leave Tottenham as our only remaining Police contact point across the whole of Haringey.
The full Mayoral draft strategy can be found on the link: https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/public_acess_strategy.pdf
Lib Dems believe that having a local Police contact point is very important for our community and any reduction in Police presence will have a negative impact. Support our calls for the London Mayor to reverse his proposals by signing our petition:
There is a period of Consultation for these cuts which is running until 6th October, if you would like to respond to this consultation please respond either by email: consultation@mopac.london.gov.uk
