£9,500 available for your community. Apply now!

HLD

Do you know a local group, charity or business that would be a worthy recipient of a local grant?

As your local Liberal Democrat councillors for Alexandra, Crouch End, Fortis Green, Highgate and Muswell Hill wards, we are seeking bids for a council fund called a Ward Budget. The money is available to local organisations to improve the well-being of the local community, environment or economy.

The application for the grant must be:

  • for the local ward area (not the whole borough)
  • for one-off expenditure with no expectation of future funding
  • for a minimum of £500 for applications from external organisations (the whole fund to be shared across bidders is £9,500 per ward)
  • from a local community organisation, charity, statutory body (e.g. the police), business or sole trader (either separately or in partnership). Ward budgets cannot be used to support any kind of political activity.

You can see full details of all the requirements and download an application form here.

Previous successful applications have included funding towards mattresses and bedding for volunteers at a winter night shelter; the planting of new trees and flowers; and lunches and social gatherings for local community groups such as carers, elderly groups and more.

If you, or a local group you know, would like to bid for the grant, or have any questions about the process, please contact us at contact@haringeylibdems.org or to apply, click this link.

Applications are now open, and we ask that bids are sent in by 18th Dec 2018 so allow sufficient processing time.

If you are looking to apply for one of the other 14 wards in Haringey, please contact your ward councillors.

We look forward to your submissions,

Your Haringey Lib Dem councillors.
