Proposed pedestrian crossing on Wolseley Road - consultation now live

HLD

The council has accepted the requests of Crouch End councillor Luke Cawley-Harrison, and is moving forward with a consultation on a new pedestrian crossing proposed for the bottom of Wolseley Road by the junction with Park Road - something Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for with the support of residents for over five years.

The key interventions proposed as part of this work are listed below, and Lib Dems hope residents will support this much needed crossing, which will make pedestrian journeys, including for many schoolchildren, much safer every day:

  1. Provision of a new zebra crossing on Wolseley Road near the junction of Park Road
  2. Relocation of the existing zebra crossing on Park Road slightly further away from the junction with Wolseley Road
  3. Extension of the existing raised road surface to accommodate zebra crossings

The consultation runs until 7th February 2023, and those in the immediate area should have received notice via a letter already directly from Haringey Council. You can respond to the consultation by emailing frontline.consultation@haringey.gov.uk, or by using the freepost card included with the consultation letter you may have received from the council, or by completing the online form at this link.
