I'm delighted to have been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate to be the next MP for Hampstead & Highgate, as a councillor of five years in Haringey, I understand the challenges facing our local community. My priorities in this election will be:
• Fighting the cost of living crisis
• Improving NHS services
• Protecting our local environment
• Tackling the housing crisis.
Over the last five years as a councillor in Haringey I have fought hard to represent residents' views and tackle the problems facing them. I'm proud of my record, successfully removing single use plastics from council buildings and the ongoing fight against the Edmonton Incinerator. I'm relishing the challenge of taking on Tulip Siddiq and showing the residents of Hampstead and Highgate that a better, more liberal option is possible. I have twice taken on Labour as a councillor and won and I am confident, with your help, I can do so here too in a general election.
